(Photos from Fall 1999 Neighborhood Decorating): Be a part of the most fun SNAIL event of the year!  Santa is looking for a few good Elves to help him decorate all of the trees in SNAIL territory.  It's a great way to spend an hour or two outside on a crisp and beautiful winter's day.  You will walk the streets and tie big bright red bows on our wonderful street trees.  Santa provides the jaunty elf hats, all of the materials that you need to do the job plus a Holiday Open House with  refreshments afterwards. What a great way to meet your neighbors and work side-by-side on a happy project that you will get to enjoy for weeks afterwards. Want to volunteer? Get Ready for the next Holiday Decorating Event!     Street Tree Decorating   A Santa Kid's Party House Decorating Contest     And that's not all.  Prizes, Prizes, Prizes! There's a house decorating contest too.  Prizes will be given to the top 3 most beautifully and imaginatively decorated houses.  In previous years, the prizes included a $75 gift certificate to Home Depot,  a $50 gift certificate to Orchard Supply and a $25 gift certificate to Sunnyvale Nursery.  So, it's worth putting the effort into making your home look spectacular for the winter!
